As one of Park City’s most beautiful landmarks and most venerable institutions, the Egyptian Theater has played host to everything from Sundance debuts to many of the country’s finest musicians. This April, the Egyptian is featuring three fun, fabulous, and must-see events! On April 5-7, the Jay Farrar Duo (Son Volt) will appear alongside Gary Hunt. Jay Farrar is the founder of Uncle Tupelo, an alternative country act, as well as a renowned solo artist who has described his work as “somewhere between Tom Petty and ZZ Top.” Next, be sure to catch the creator of “Devil with a Blue Dress On,” “Jenny Take a Ride,” and “Little Latin Lupe Lu,” as Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels take the stage on April 13-14.
Finally, don’t miss the “Park City Follies” showing April 20-29. This hilarious presentation features an all-local cast and guarantees an evening of boisterous entertainment. The show is a merciless satire of the people, politics, and developments of Park City, and this brilliant combination of witty spoofs and lampoons, always in jest, of course, is always a sellout!
