Pancakes, Parades, and Fireworks: A Park City Celebration

sparklers with the American flag in the back

This Independence Day, the air will be filled with the smell of hot dogs and hamburgers sizzling on grills, blaring horns and crashing cymbals will accompany bands marching to the sounds of Sousa, and a dazzling array of fireworks will illuminate night skies nationwide as we come together to celebrate our most American holiday. Guests of the Newpark Resort are cordially invited to celebrate with us at Park City’s 4th of July events.

Start the day with breakfast: from 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., the local Boy Scouts will host a Pancake Breakfast, and all are welcome. Then, ride the shuttle, or stroll up to Main Street to watch the Old Fashioned 4th of July Parade. Beginning at the top of Main and ending at City Park, this annual favorite features over 70 floats. The Celebration in City Park begins at 12:00 p.m. and lasts until 4:00 p.m., featuring live music, food, and fun and games for all ages. Finally, a spectacular fireworks show will begin at dark, and whether you watch from the golf course or Deer Valley Drive, there’s not a bad seat in the house. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs for comfortable seating.
